Hello
My name is Aija Marie Ozols Gibson and I am a project manager, designer, and artist based in California with frequent travel to New Orleans, New York, and London.
I have a BA in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Fine-Arts and double minors in Anthropology and Literature. My continued studies have taken me to Parsons in New York City where I was trained in Interior Design and Illustration, the Latvian National Academy of Art for Architectural History and site studies, and the Institute for Classical Architecture and Art to learn classical proportion and planning. I am passionate about design and its role in our lives.

In my design studio, I use the following programs: AutoCad, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and various PM and book-keeping programs. I also work by hand using watercolor and gouache. To learn more about my services, please click here.
About Me
Originally trained as a fine-artist, I start everything by hand and eye before moving to industry–standard design software. My focus is on gorgeous, streamlined, functional spaces with a collaborative approach to style.
Raised in New Orleans to Dutch and Latvian parents who spent weekends sailing on the Gulf Coast and summers in Europe, I have always been interested in different cultures, histories, environments, and how space, color, shape, sound, and light affect us.
So this past Spring, after a successful twenty-five year career in art and design, I decided to branch out and launch my own firm to accommodate what I’ve seen as a growing need for hand-drawn design and client-based interiors. Working for art and design industry greats such as Mary McDonald INC, Peter Dunham Home, TASCHEN, the Broad Museum, and more, gave me the proficiency to step into my own creative space. Using my industry knowledge, experience, education, and insatiable appetite for a well-organized project, I continue to offer the highest quality possible and a personalized approach to clients, business-to-business, and other designers.
I work with a range of budgets and project sizes, functioning seamlessly across teams of architects, contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to manage projects. I am equally comfortable with a single-room renovation or a ground-up, multi-million project, designing a custom piece of reproduction furniture, hand-painting a textile or wall-covering, advising on color theory for environments or print production, creating art for decorators, or laying out a book or advertisement.
Contact me to discuss your needs, timeline, and budget. I would love to hear from you!
